Dan Savage, the famed sex advice columnist, writes about his quest to adopt a child. It is well written, funny at times, and above all quite interesting..especially insightful about the adoption process and the mothers that give up their children.

An honest, poignant, but frequently funny journey through the process of adoption, from the standpoint of an openly gay nationally syndicated sex columnist. This book should be mandatory reading for every single person who holds an opinion (pro or con) on this issue.

Insightful, poignant and very, very interesting book... but unfortunately far too short. I really did want a little bit more information on their adjustment to having the kid, but do have to weigh that against the strong sense that they are entitled to some privacy.
