I just got this book from the library. Overall, good cookbook for kids but with some reservations.... The cover is a bit misleading. It says "More than 150 Recipes That are: Wheat free, Gluten free, dairy free, nut free, egg free, low in sugar" but really there are recipes and then at the end are notes such as "Dairy free-substitute rice or soy milk" "Egg-Free: leave out eggs," etc. Well, duh! If your child has allergies you do not need a cookbook author to tell you these things. On a good note, GREAT for those with WHEAT/Gluten allergies since the author has celiac and I have not seen even one recipe with any wheat listed. Many creative uses of rice, corn and potato. If your child (or you) have a wheat allergy then I would recommend this book. If you have other allergies, take it out of library first.

This reminded me of a "church lady fundraiser cookbook"-- in a nice way. Lots of practical, homey recipes, focused on meals rather than baking.
