What an interesting storyline. The basic plot takes place in Pleasant Valley, PA and focuses on three women brought together presumably for a party/reception at an old mansion-Warrior's Peak. Malory Price, Dana Steele, and Zoe McCourt, strangers prior to this meeting, have no clue as to what they are about to embark upon. Their hosts - Rowena and Pitte welcome them to the "party of three" and that is when they are presented with the challenge of the three keys, the purpose of which is to find them and unlock the souls of the three demi-mortal-goddesses, put into a "Sleeping Beauty-type" slumber by the evil Kane centuries ago. While discussing the task at hand, all three women are faced with a beautiful and very old portrait of the demi-mortal goddesses and coincidentally the goddesses resemble Malory, Dana and Zoe. Each girl will receive $25,000 up front to take on the challenge and, if all three keys are found, they will then each receive $1,000,000. If the first one fails, the entire task is over and they lose a year of their lives. If the first key is found, then they move onto the next, each having one full month to achieve their goal. Again, even if they are successful with finding the first key, and they do not find the second or then the third, each subsequent failure results in the end of the search with the resulting loss of time in their lives. "Key of Light" is Malory's and Flynn's story and the search for the first key. To summarize the romance point, suffice it to say that there are three very handsome men connected to the story, each getting drawn into the quest for uncovering the whereabouts of the keys through their involvement with the three "chosen" women. It was really nice knowing the story wasn't over at the end of the book. "Key of Knowledge" picks up right where this story leaves off and the reader is treated to the continuing saga of the mystery. This trilogy is Nora at her best. If you enjoy her writing technique, you will definitely become immersed in the "key trilogy" to distinguish what is real, what appears to be real and what is fantasy.

My first Nora Roberts. I have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first, but boy was I off! To my surprise, I REALLY enjoyed this book. The adventure was magical, and I had to know what was going to happen next. And I loved the witty banter between the characters! I can't wait to read Key of Knowledge.

What can I say about the Key trilogy? I loved it, so much so I bought the hard cover. If you love fantasy, gods and wizards you will love this series too.
Good book! Loved it, as I do all Nora Roberts books.
NOT ONE OF HER BETTER SERIES BUT OK
Another easy read from Nora Roberts, if your looking for a good interesting book to read in an afternoon this is it! You dont want to put it down.
This is the first book in the "key" trilogy. Three women are brought together by fate. They each much find their "key" on a dangerous quest that could fulfill their destiny or forever destroy their lives.
This is the first book in Nora Roberts' Key trilogy in which three women (Mallory, Dana, and Zoe) are given 28 days to embark on a dangerous quest. If one of the women should fail, they will all lose their chance to find the key that unlocks each one's destiny and her heart's true desire. Here Mallory is charged with finding the Key of Light--will her quest lead to her ultimate fulfillment or the destruction of her life?
1st of a trilogy concerning humans who need to help rescue three goddesses.
Very good book. Loved it and searched until I found the other 2 books in the trilogy. Was spellbinding.
3-book trilogy
one of my favorite authors
Book one in the Key Trillogy. Another great Nora Roberts book.
From the Key series, enjoyable, You have to read all three books!
Part of an excellent series.
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would!
First of the trilogy.
First in a Series
followed by Key of Knowledge and Key of Valor
The life of gallery manager Malory Price is stalled when she is invited to a reception at a mansion near her small Pennsylvania town. Upon her arrival, she discovers that she is one of only three guests-all of whom are feisty young women with life challenges just like her own. Their mysterious hosts explain that centuries earlier, they allowed the souls of the three demigoddesses under their care to be stolen by a sorcerer. Legend says the demigoddesses cannot be freed until three mortal women find the keys to the glass box in which they are housed. Should they agree, Malory, Dana Steele and Zoe McCourt will each receive $25,000 to search for the keys, plus a million dollars if they succeed. They nervously accept, and Malory is the first to tackle her task, with the help of Dana's charming but commitment-phobic brother Flynn. The legend is as mistily silly as the art history Malory uses to search for clues, and the financial incentives smack more of a reality show than Celtic lore.

the first in a trilogy- romance, mystery and magic!
Malory's story and the beginning. Loved this trilogy, Nora at her best.

BOOK ONE OF THE KEY TRILOGY
First of the Key Trilogy, great fun. A trilogy of destiny and desire.
The first book in a great trilogy set. Great reading...
Are six stars allowed for this series ? !
Excellent trilogy
Fantastic series
Loved it...Romance with suspense and fantasy..What could be better? This is the first book in the Key Trilogy series.
I love Nora Roberts, but not my favorite book or trilogy. Had to make myself finish it. Characters are likeable but the plot was too predictable.
First in series of three. I have all three. Couln't wait to finish and couldn't wait to read the other two.
A story of mystic and wonderment, Nora Robert's Key of Light is a fanciful tale about the lives three women whose lives are intertwined with those of goddesses. Dana, Zoe, and Mallory's lives could not be more different, except for the fact they look all look like the Daughters of the Glass. The goddesses have been locked into a glass box from an evil sorcerer named Kane. This is the first book in a trilogy; each book is about one of the girls, starting off with Mallory, Dana, and then Zoe. Each girl has to find one of the three keys to open the glass box, if any of them do not find a key; they then lose a year of their lives'. Through their adventure the three women are helped by a god and goddess, Pitte and Rowena. The gods have been cast out from behind the curtain of Power (the shield that separates the mortals' world from the gods') because of not protecting the three demi-goddesses from the evil sorcerer.
Rowena asks the women to take up the challenge, "I will make you an offer, you will each have, in turn, one phase of the moon to find one of the three keys. If all three keys are brought to this place, before the end of the third moon, you will each be given a boon."It is not a surprise this book was a #1 New York Times Bestseller, because of its action packed sequence, mystical tale with some romance tied in.

First in a trilogy featuring Celtic gods, mythological key, and magical romance.
I love this trilogy... this segment especially. She is such a good writer!
First trilogy of Nora Roberts that I read. Like the magical aspect of it and it kept me entertained and eager to read the next one. Not a big romance fan but it was tolerable.
Three women are summoned by Gods to find three keys that together will break an evil spell. If they succeed, Malory, Dana and Zoe will receive handsome rewards for their services. Malory, with her exceptional knowledge of art, is chosen to go first. She begins her quest with the help of her new friends, and Dana's handsome brother, Flynn. Malory is immediately attracted to Flynn, but doesn't have time for romance when she has only 28 days to find her key.
I found this story slow in places, but it was an interesting beginning to the trilogy. I will definitely be reading the others in the series. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

Very interesting, I couldn't put in down!
This was a really great series with mystery, romance, intrigue, and it was different enough to make me want to read the other two. Another good trilogy by Nora!
So glad that I found this trilogy from Nora Roberts. This first book of the three totally met my expectations for a great Nora Roberts read. It had all of the character elements and intrigue to hold my interest and am gearing up to start on the second of the series. Classic read for those fans of this genre and author. Have begun on the second book with high expectations. Have tried to give this 5 stars but for some reason it put 4 with the symbol at the end. This is a 5 stars rating, for sure!
Enjoyable but not my favorite trilogy.
A great guilty pleasure book. This book got me hooked on the trilogy. Once i read this I HAD to read the other two RIGHT NOW! Just the right combination of romance and suspense to make a fun escapist reading adventure. A little bit naughty so I wouldn't recommend for teens.
I liked it. Totally got me hooked to read the trilogy.
This is the first story of a trilogy of three women empowered with the task to find three keys that will unlock the souls of three 3,000 year old demigoddesses. Key of Light spotlights Malory Price, an art dealer, who must use her power of beauty, knowledge, and courage, to find the key that will unlock her relative demigoddess, one that was a lover of art and beauty and eerily looks just like her.
This book, and it's two sequels, have sat on my shelf for a while now. Whenever a book is as loved and popular as this trilogy is, I'm weary to read it. I'm worried that I won't like it. But it was an exciting book, and I look forward to reading the others. All my theories of where or what the key was were wrong. I never would have came up with that ending, and that's one of things that makes a book a good book to me!

Typical Nora Roberts. If you like her, this series follows suit with all the others.
Nora Roberts' 1st book in the Key Trilogy tells of Malory's search for the Key of Light.
I am not a huge Nora Roberts fan, but I loved this trilogy. I couldn't put it down.
Love Nora Roberts. When I first starting reading this series, I could not put them down. I actually ran to the store to get the second. It reveals how a bond can be created between friends. Love interests are great. I would read this series again.
I could not tell how the book would end. It was a very good book
Anxious to read the next in the series
I really enjoyed this series, but what is up with nora roberts and these triliogy series that she keeps putting out.
Great book. Looking forward to the next in the series.
I loved this story, it is original in nature and very well written. Suspenseful, loving caring characters!
Great Read
This trilogy is a good one. The books made me like Nora Roberts even more.
Cute II.
Loved this book! Was almost impossible to put down. Adventure, love story, fantasy and magic, it's all in there!!! Can't wait to start Key of Knowledge. This is a must read.
ate brings three women together for a chance to unlock their deepest desires. Malory has the soul of an artist and an eye for beauty. She must find the Key of Light -- on the first of three dangerous quests that could fulfill her destiny... or forever destroy her life. Three women. Three keys. Each has 28 days to find her key. If one fails, they all lose. If they all succeed, money, power and a new destiny awaits.
First of the "key" series...was skeptical but LOVED this and the 2 other books in the series. Strong, intelligent women...strong, supportive men...and wonderful, interlocking friendships! Lots of mystery and beautifully written "thinking process" for the characters! This is Mallory and Flynn's story.
Three friends and their men (who are also 3 friends) help solve a mystery that hasn't been solved in centuries...sleeping goddess who need to be awakened...immortals from another realm to assist the seekers of the keys...in finding the key...they find not only their loves but themselves!

The first of a triology involving a key and its lock. Three young women come together to solve the puzzle. They meet the owners of Warriors Peak who guide them to solve the puzzle. Fast pace. enjoyable.
First of the Key Trilogy.. all are very good reading.
First in the dazzling new key trilogy. Fate brings three woman together for a chance to unlock their deepest desires. Mallory has the soul of an srtist and an eye for beauty. She must find the Key of Light---on the first of three dangerous quests that could fulfill her destiny...or forever destroy her life.
Malory hadn't wanted to attend the cocktail reception at Warrior's Peak. A fanciful name for a spooky old place, she thought. At another time she'd have been thrilled at the opportunity to see the inside of the great old house so high on the ridge.

Warrior's Peak
You are the key. The lock awaits.
Now how weird was that? Malory asked herself, and gritted her teeth as the car shimmied in a sudden gust of wind. The way her luck was going, it was probably a scam for some pyramid scheme. The road forked, and the bend on the right streamed through enormous stone pillars. Malory slowed, gawked at the life-sized warriors standing on each pillar. Perhaps it was the storm, the night, her own jittery mood, but the looked more human than stone, with hair flying around their fierce faces, their hands gripped on the hilt of swords. In the shimmer of lightning, she could almost see muscles rippling in the arms, over the broad, bare chests.
She inched the car closer. Gargoyles hunched along the walls, crawled over the eaves. Gargoyles do not come to life, she assured herself, repeating the words over and over in her head as she rolled the window down a cautious half-inch. "Welcome to Warrior's Peak." His voice boomed over the rain...

I normally don't like modern romance novels at all, but a friend had been passed along this trilogy, and loved it, and she passed it to me, and I adored it! I highly reccomend it. ^_^

First book in the "Key" trilogy - fantastic read!
Liked the Book, good read
From Publishers Weekly: "Roberts built her reputation writing first-rate romantic tales involving legends and magic, and now she returns to the supernatural realm with a story that's not as stellar as her earlier works but should delight her fans. Upon her arrival, she discovers that she is one of only three guests-all of whom are feisty young women with life challenges just like her own. Fortunately, Roberts's crisp writing, earthy humor and vivid characterizations combine to make this a compelling read." Copyright 2003 Reed Business Information, Inc.

The first in the Key trilogy and the one with the most creative ending as far as I am concerned. Really engrossing and made me buy the other two just to see what happened.
