"Key of Knowledge" is the continuing saga of the search for the three keys to unlock the souls of the demigoddesses. It is the story of Dana Steele and Jordan Hawke. Dana and Jordan had a past - he was her first love and left Pleasant Valley quite abruptly after his mother died to make something of his writing career in New York City. He broke Dana's heart at the time and she has never forgotten or forgiven him. Now, years later, and with a successful career as a writer, he has returned and found himself connected to the search for the second key. Jordan has always been mesmerized and quite drawn to Warrior's Peak to the point that he wrote a best seller, "Phantom Watch", based on his boyhood experiences with friends Brad and Flynn at the mystery mansion. This connection ties him into librarian Dana's life once more and the search for the second key. This quest becomes much more dangerous than the first. The evil sorcerer, Kane, is not playing by the rules and some one's blood will be shed before the end of this sequel. Dana must dig deep into her soul in order to find the answers and the piece to her puzzle. Jordan is an integral part of that missing piece and she must come to terms with her life with him, past and present, if she is to have a chance at finding the second key. This story is an excellent continuation of the series; lots of adventure, camaraderie among the chosen six, Malory, Flynn, Dana, Jordan, Zoe and Brad and of course romantic entanglements as only Nora can project. I would highly recommend it after reading "Key of Light" and pass on that you will want to go directly to the final book "Key of Valor."

Book 2 of the Key Series from Nora Roberts. Now another one of the friends is searching for the magical key to unlock the souls of the departed. Not a horror, but enough to keep you interested. Not a love story, but enough to keep you in the story.

Read Key of Light first.....

Second in the Key of Knowledge Trilogy. I love fantasy and romance. This has both. As always, Nora Roberts knows how to keep us intrigued.

This was the best trilogy I have ever read. The series was full of intrigue, humor, with a touch of science fiction.

Three women have been summoned by Gods to find three keys that together will break an evil spell. One key has been found. It is now Dana Steele's turn to find her golden key. With her love of books and knowledge, Dana works to decipher her clue. She has the help of her friends, her brother, and surprisingly, her ex-lover Jordan Hawke. Jordan has come home to help his friends with their quest. He also wants to win back Dana and keep her safe from evil.

I thought his book was much better than the first in the series. Maybe because the mythology was all spelled out in the first book and so we could get more action in this book. The hero and heroine made a great couple, and the ending of this book was very original. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

The worst Roberts book I've read. Unremarkable story, unecessary plot complications, dull pacing, and a rather ridiculous premise. I have enjoyed the Eve Dallas "In Death" novels, and a few of her supernatural trilogies...even some of her first romances, before she really jumped into the "thriller" genre. But this...this is not worthy of your time.
