This was a really great read. I haven't read a lot by this author, but this was a really intense book. I learned a lot about archeology and Egypt. There are a few twist throughout and I was drawn in right up the the last page. Highly recommended!!!!

Oh this book was good! Had me hooked from chapter 1 and would not let me put it down! Fast, gripping, exciting read with lots of twists and turns. Tess Gerritsen did it again with this book! This one falls in the Jane Rizolli/Maura Isles series. A must read for T.G. Fans and new comers to her work.

well, here's the first book by Tess Gerritsen that i could put down..even though I didn't! For some reason this book didn't grab me the way her other's have. Seemed a bit predictable and dry. An ok read but I prefer her others

very well written story--at first I thought 'oh no a lot of archaeology jargon I won't understand' but not so, takes a little to get started but the twists it takes makes a good story!

excellent book, certainly with alot of twists and turns and a subject matter that has not been overdone in mystery/thrillers. It is a quick read.

Oh my! I guessed right about (page 200) who the Murderer was, but wow. There's no way I saw all of it coming. I have read most of her other books. This one is worth the money I spent on a new copy. It's a bit more history than I usually read, but not dry, and certainly relevant.
In comparison to her others, she doesn't get into the medical aspect as detailed as we've seen so much in her previous work. Still.....
An excellent mystery -- I recommend it.

Great read about Rizzoli and Isles, who are 2 of my favorite charaters. This one keeps you guessing. After the TV series began, I can only picture the TV charaters as I read these books. This one will keep you turning pages and guessing until the end. Great read!

Interesting mystery. Aakept my interest. Gerritsen's knowledge of medicine enhances this tale.

A fantastic read. Love a book when I haven't figured out the "bad guy/gal" before I'm half way through the book! This kept me going for a while!

Good one. Not one of her best in the series, though.

This was a gripping murder mystery featuring mummies, shrunken heads, bog bodies, psychopathic killers and some annoyingly contrived human drama which causes an investigator to make a crucial mistake to keep the suspense moving. I liked it okay, the mummies, bog bodies and head shrinking details held my attention but I felt a little distanced from the characters, some who seemed to make rather pitiful emotional choices so it isn't a book I'd reread.
Another good addition to the Isles/Rizzoli series.
Another good murder mystery starring the feisty Jane Rizzoli and Dr. Maura Isles, Boston ME. As with all of Tess Gerritsen's books, there are lots of twists and turns and plenty of nail-biting episodes because she never lets you down.
very imaginative and great read
I have yet to read a bad book by Tess Gerritsen. I could not put this book down and had it finished in 2 days. You will not regret getting this book.
I had only one, bittersweet disappointment...when I finished the book. Couldn't put it down...
Excellent story. I really enjoyed this one. But then I like most of her novels.
Medical Examiner Maura Isles is happy she received an invitation to view the CT scan of a well preserved mummy that was found in the basement of a local museum. But she is shocked to find the mummy has modern dental work and a bullet in her leg. Detectives Jane Rizzoli and Barry Frost are called in to investigate the murder. They soon find the remains of another woman in the museum. When a third body is found in the trunk of Archaeologist Josephine Pulcillo's car, she knows that the killer has found her hiding place and will stop at nothing to see her dead.
This is the 7th book in Gerritsen's Rizzoli & Isles series. The mystery kept me interested, but the side stories about the character's personal lives felt a little out of place. There is a ton of information about archaeology and mummification. I learned a lot reading this story. My rating: 4 Stars.

Tess Gerritsen has created another chilling, fast-paced thriller that is sure to delight fans of the Rizzoli/Isles mystery series. Readers new to Gerritsen's writing will also find The Keepsake very accessible and enjoyable.I greatly enjoyed the archaeological elements in The Keepsake.
Another great book by Tess Gerritsen. Just when I thought I had it all figued out I reallized I didn't. This book will keep you guessing until the end. Highly recommended.
Excellent book. Easy reading and easy to follow plot. Suspensful
Tess Gerritsen does not fail with her 8th book featuring M.E. Maura Isles and detective Jane Rizzoli. The victims in this story are found mummified and the technical details are fascinating at the same time as repelling. You will be on the edge of your seat!
I found this book truly enjoyable. While it was somewhat predicatable, it was still a great read. I love Tess Gerritsen's subject matter - the gorier the better. :) I would highly recommend this book especially as a summer read. Enjoy!
If you've ever been interested in archilogy, you would love this book. First a bullet is found in the leg of a mummy, then a shrunked head shows up where there are suppose to be two but there are three and then a bog woman is found in one of the museums archeologist trunk. Once it is determined these are preserved murder victims rather than archetectual finds the suspence begins to get deeper. This is a good page turner with a very intersting story line.
Good book. Ancient artifacts and a killer make for good reading. Very enjoyable.
I have been enjoying this series - but I especially liked this one.
Good read about crazy murderers who use ancient mummification techniques on their victims. Got a little loose toward the end for me, but overall an engaging story!
Another good read by Gerritsen in her Rizzoli & Isles series!

Another great book in the series. Very well written, did not want to put the book down. Mummys, and serial killers together, great combination and different.
One of her better ones...very good.
Tess Gerritsen redeemed herself with this book. I had a hard time reading book #6- The Mephisto Club. This book had the same action and suspense that I could expect from her.
