Flora and Ruby are excited about the new family that is moving into the row houses. The family has two children. One is Willow, who is exactly the same age as Flora, Nikki, and Olivia.

But this family is hiding a very scary and troublesome secret, which will impact the friendship of the girls.

I liked this new book in the series. It was fast-moving, even with it being very small-townish.

The characters are well-drawn, and the trouble in Willow's family is written with simplicity and understanding. Mental illness is a big problem in the United States and many girls can identify with Willow's problem.

I always enjoy the simple joys these girls have and wish all kids could have these simple pleasures again. Flora and Ruby get excited about a dog parade, reading a good book, and just hanging out with each other.
