If you liked the TV series Home Fires, you know it ended two seasons with a whacking great cliffhanger, and no third series was done. This novel by the series' screenwriter Simon Block, picks up the lives of the citizens of Great Paxford right where the series ended. It is to be followed by another book real soon now.
As a novel, it's not brilliantly written, and you do need to have seen the TV series first, but it will tell you what happened to everybody and it is very readable.
