Schwarzenegger was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger, a bodybuilder, actor, model, businessman, politician and 38th Governor of California and Maria Shriver, a journalist and author. She has three younger siblings. She is currently attending the University of Southern California.

She wrote a book called Rock What You've Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who's Been There and Back.
