I have to say I was disappointed in this book. Previously, I had read The #1 Ladies Detective Agency and Morality for Beautiful Girls - both of which I enjoyed. But this one was weak, very weak. Unlike the others, this only had one case to solve plus one case of finding some old acquaintances. It was like Smith needed to write a second book as a follow up to the original -which was a hit, and he sat down at the typewriter and just sort of rambled on until he had written enough to call it a book. As I listened to this book on my commute to work I kept mentally saying, "Get On With It!!"
