Book 2 of Piers Anthony's Adept Trilogy. Good mix of fantasy and sci-fi.

Juxtaposition is the greatest piece of fantasy literature that I have ever read. This book captures the two most popular sides of the fiction world, science fiction and fantasy. I greatly enjoyed the book as Stile struggled to survive in the both frames. Struggling in Phase to find his enemy Adept and in Proton attempting to survive the game. I believe that one of the best moments of the book was when he discovers that the Red Adept is his enemy, but can also change frames, and that he is now competeing with her in the Proton games in a dramatic love scene. The person trying to kill him he now has to pretend that he loves. That puts a great ironic twist in the book.
Piers Anthony is the best fantasy writer that I have ever read. He captures the imagination with vivide descriptionof the surroundings and people. Allowing the reader to picture every aspect of the world being described.

The two parallel worlds of Proton (science) and Phaze (magic) were out of balance and heading for disaster. In Proton, Stile was almost murdered but saved by the robot Sheen who was in love with him. In Phaze, Stile was still learning to master the magic of his alter-ego the Blue Adept and trying to find his enemy among the other Adepts. Even the infallible Oracle appeared to be involved in the conspiracy against Stile. He had to act, and act quickly, to save all that he loved, but he had no idea what he was supposed to do!
third in the Adept trilogy, compares two alternate dimensions existing side by side: one is ruled by magic, one is ruled by science
Wow!! This by far is the greatest book by Piers Anthony I have ever read. Although I loved the incarnation of immortality Which I read over and over again I loved this one more. I was so hooked on the events and action unfolding I could not put it down. If you ever read one book in your lifetime, make it this one. Juxtaposition was such a good book, and had the best ending I've seen anywhere.
