The subtitle for this book is "A Nostalgic Look at Growing Up Born Again", which describes the book perfectly. What a fun book! It triggered so many memories that I'd long forgotten--childhood memories from a conservative, Christian home and church in the 1950's and the 1960's. There are many black and white pictures and drawings, throughout the pages and short articles. It's the type of book that you can either read cover-to-cover or in short spurts. "Just As We Were" will bring a chuckle, a tear, or just a smile of acknowledgement, as you explore its pages. I loved it!
