A delight for English majors, folklorists and other literary geeks like me. While not as engaging and satisfying as "Tam Lin," this book demonstrates an understanding of adolescence with empathy, wit and humor. Genny and her friends are quirky nerds in the Meg Murry tradition, but more believable. The narrative drags a little in the run-up to the denouement, but overall a good read for young adults (and the young at heart) who enjoy urban fantasy.
