Finished Enchantress of Numbers: A Novel of Ada Lovelace by Jennifer Chiaverini. I loved this book.  Ada Byron King (Lovelace) was a math genius who some people say should be known as the originator of the computer.

By the way, if anyone here is interested in The Lost Apothecary I'd love to share it.  Excellent read. I could post it FIFO but would prefer to pass it on to a friend.

Read The Girl in the Blue Beret: A Novel by Bobbie Ann Mason, about an airman who was copilot on a plane shot down in Belguim.  Very nice read where he searches for the people who helped him escape into Spain and found a woman to love.

I am reading A Plague on Both Your Houses by Susanna Gregory. I have never read her books. she has two very long series. This one is set in 1345 Cambridge England. I am enjoying the setting and characters. Has anyone else read Ms. Gregory's books?

Hi, guys!  I just finished A Grave Matter (Lady Darby Mystery Book 3), which I enjoyed.  Weirdly enough, the only historical mystery books I've liked are the ones in this series.  Since I am now somewhat emotionally invested in Lady Darby, I went ahead and purchased the Kindle version of the next book in the series right when I finished the 3rd. I'm still listening to The Big Rock Candy Mountain.  I made a little headway on it earlier this week, but the going is slow.  Not that I don't enjoy the book, just haven't had a ton of time for audio books. 

Next up is The Night Tiger: A Novel by Yangsze Choo, which I happened to find to fulfill the Bonus for this year's challenge.

Alice - I have that Susanna Gregory book (and the 2nd in the series) on my Kindle (and have for over a year), but I haven't gotten to them yet.

Not going to lie, I haven't been reading too much HF lately.  I've been reading a lot of NF (Taste, by Stanley Tucci; The Devil in the White City, by Erik Larson; and Brunelleschi's Dome by Ross King).  I also just finished The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune, which I absolutely loved.  Currently I'm reading a Perry Mason mystery from Erle Stanley Gardner.

I'm hoping to jump back onto the HF wagon soon....

I started The Murder of Mr. Wickham today. Talk about a villain that needs a comeuppance!

I finished The Murder of Mr. Wickham by Claudia Gray.  I gave it 3 stars.  A fun concept of bringing all of Jane Austen's book characters into a locked room mystery with the killing of Mr. Wickham (who, frankly, always had it coming).  However, the mystery itself was only half realized, and the clues were so sparse and sometimes not clues at all, that the conclusion came out of left field.  I don't regret reading it, but if you are looking for a good "whodunnit" this probably isn't it.

Anyway, I'm reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne now...  :)

Hello!  I just finished The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo, which I really enjoyed.  I would've never have found this book were it not for this year's HF Challenge.  I was looking for a book about a tiger or with a tiger on the cover.  This one fit the bill as tigers figure prominently in the story.  It is actually a really good read.  It started out a little slow, but after a while, I couldn't put it down! 

Up next a return to one of my faves - Bernard Cornwell's The Winter King, which is another book for the challenge. 

Finished Prophecy (Giordano Bruno, Bk 2) by S.J. Parris. What a complex plot!  Most interesting read.  4 stars

Completed The Woman in the Water (Charles Lenox, Bk 0.1) by Charles Finch, 4 stars.  Entertaining - a prequel that shows how Lenox and Graham became detectives.  I quite liked it.  The author depicted the personality of young Lenox so well.
