This book is like a tapestry simultaneously woven from both ends, meeting in the middle, coming together with perfection and clarity. Two tales, seemingly unrelated are told in turn, then they begin to mesh and come together. You won't want to put it down, and you won't know how to feel about the main character until the end It's the story of love that sacrifices, love restored and redemption. You'll find yourself thinking about it after you finish it. I loved it. I still keep it fondly in my heart.

This is a very touching & beautifully written story of what real love is all about & what it means to truly be a father. It is written both in the 3rd person of everyone around the child but in first person for the child's thoughts. It's a book that teaches many truths that we can all learn from. I highly recommend this book.

This was my second Chris Fabry book and I was not disappointed. As the ending began to unfold I did find myself a little incredulous about how the story was going to have to settle out, but by the end I was a believer. ;^)
Based on the two Chris Fabry books I've read thus far I would describe him as a writer with a great story telling style who takes the reader to the brink of disbelief, but resolves his stories in a way that works - amazingly so.
I'm looking forward to reading more Fabry books.
