I picked up this book because I love Wiesner's illustrations, and because the date is my birthday (not the year of course). One of the few of his books that actually use words to tell the story instead of relying solely on the pictures, my kids and I found the story intriguing and delightful, and it's become one of our favorites. It's highly imaginative, creative and amusing, and the ending does not disappoint.

Funny book, but it might be more entertaining for adults than for kids. I read it to a group of 2nd graders, they didn't show that they got it.

Cute kids book. I bought this because the title was my brother's birthday. But it was very good.
