This is a fascinating story about the growth of an industry and the many players who worked together to make it happen. I found wine making very interesting as it combines both agriculture and the obsessive manipulation of a chemical reaction. It's too bad the movie based on this book, Bottle Shock, couldn't have told the real, much more interesting story, instead of yet another iteration of the tired "rebellious son gains favor in his father's eyes" plot.

I have a new respect for the vineyards that I see popping up here in the Pacific Northwest.
