Another awesome installment of the life of New York's finest and her husband. The identity of the killer came as a shock.

The story is unique, witty & hooks you after the 1st page! there is a lot of steamy action between Eve & Roarke (again) but the story has a great plot, in depth characters & great interaction between them.

I love powerful Lt. Eve Dallas and how the complex New York City crimes are solved. If you don't wanna bite her husband, don't read these books! Nora Robert's best writing is as JD Robb in this "In Death" series of some 30+ stories to date. I collect all of the JD Robb books, but skip the Roberts, whose stories are not as tight as those about Lt. Eve Dallas - ass kicker! If the future of New York is like this, I fear these futuristic killers who are sneaky and complex.
Death starts in the book, leading Eve into the world of dirty cops and deadly criminals. This is a subject relevant to today. Whenever there is a lot of money, unfortunately there will be someone willing to tarnish themself for some of it. The ending is a corkscrew in this book. You will be surprised who the murderer really is. Fast paced and enjoyable. Now on to Book 12!!!!

love all of her books by her name of J.D. Robb have finally collected all of them and now have stqarted at the first one and reading all of them again.

This was a page turner. trying to figure out who the killer is makes it almost impossible to put down.

Another great IN Death book! Very wonderful!
This whole series is great....this one kept me up to all hours of the night trying to figure out how Eve would catch her killer....a real page turner for sure.

Detective Eve Dallas must solve the murder of a cop found bludgeoned to death in an uptown strip club. Great addition to this series which just gets better and better.

If you don't care for Nora Roberts BUT love Mystery/Dark Thrillers with a side of romance and a dash of comedy - then I think you'll love J.D. Robb's ... In Death series written by Nora Roberts alter ego.
I won't go into the details of the books but will tell you this: Superb character development, continuity of the story line (which means you really need to read the books in order although they can stand alone) is top notch, the relationships that are webbed and weaved together throughout each page are phenomenal and let's the reader 'really' get to know the characters.

This was definitely one of my favorites in this series. I read current books in this series and then started from the beginning as I obtained the first books. It brings to light the story lines and completes chacaters and relationships I'd wanted to understand better. Bravo!
