The plot is very uncomplicated (perhaps even sappy) and predictable. However, I did enjoy the very graphic descriptions of the wagon train during its trek across the plains. Those were quite good, I thought.

I enjoyed this book very much. Maybe because I love history stories about wagons going west. I read the last book in this series not realizing it was a series. It made me want to read the whole series.

This book describes Abby, a young New York soon to graduate high school. She was raised with social status and her world comes crashing down around her. She moves west with extended family and her faith is put to the test. This is a historical Christian romance.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes western pioneer stories.
