On par with Tom Clancy? While one of the jacket reviews stated this, I found it a little less technical than a Clancy novel. Overall it was a good read. This is the first of the Joint Task Force series which I have read and I will be looking for the other two books. Lots of fast paced action, strong characters and thrills a minute plotting.
