A lot of mini-biographies (within the chapters) of some of the players in the 50s and 60s, as well.

If you have an interest in what football used to be, back when there weren't so many coaches/assistants treating players like robots, you'd really appreciate this book. It also is a compelling human interest story when you consider what someone like Johnny went through in his life.

I'd heard from Mike Francesca on WFAN in NYC that this author was excellent and the coverage of Unitas was great so I came into this with great expectations and still feel that they have been exceeded.
