I read two or three of the first books in this series decades ago, but never finished it. I also saw most of the BBC TV series, released through PBS. It was extremely interesting. When a few books at the beginning of the series came through the thrift store, where I volunteer, I stated reading them again. As I read them the pages simply fly by. It's good clean reading too, as there are no sex scenes or gore.
