This book is a gem, as are all the Jeeves stories. For pure escapism, visit this idyllic world of dry martinis, charming dimwits and rabidly meddling aunts and arranged as always by the omniscient puppetmaster- the unflappable genius- the valet, Jeeves. As always, Jeeves deftly steers his young master Bertie Wooster in and out of marital, legal and familial pitfalls to a happy ending.

Late Wodehouse, more or less a replay of scenarios he'd written earlier, but they wear reasonably well.

Another great Jeeves. The perfect butler and his hapless "master."
Riotously funny.

The era Wodehouse was writing about may be past but the characters are easily recognizable even today - just talk to you family and neighbors and look in the mirror.
