Like two of Faust's other novelizations (The Twilight Zone: Burned/One Night at Mercy and Nightmare on Elmstreet #2: Dreamspawn), The Jason Strain was quick and entertaining. Good for a light read, it's well written and _not_ mind-numbingly stupid. I haven't seen the Jason movies, but this book was a good read regardless. However, if gore bothers you, steer clear of this one (but you knew that).
