While enjoying a ramble in the Derbyshire hills near Bakewell (a town Eliza Bennett visits in Pride and Prejudice), Jane discovers the mutilated body of a young man. The "editor's notes" that punctuate the text and old cures for various ills that open each chapter add to the charm. I have really enjoyed this series of books!
I love this series - true to period and Jane's writing style.
Jane doesn't have to look for trouble. It finds her!
Intriguing series written very well.

Ms. Barron does an EXCELLENT job bringing Jane Austen to life. This is the 5th Jane Austen Mystery and one you won't want to miss!
