After reading the tease and looking at the cover, I expected a really hot book - uh, not. The storyline was interesting enough, the main characters damaged, the writing ok, but there was something missing - plausability? reality check? It read like a soap opera - the characters were sooo damaged, they fell in love/lust sooo fast, the villans were just sooo bad, and the sex was always the same (a little imagination, here, folks?) As a murder mystery/romance, it was pretty good. As erotica, no.

Enjoyed this story. Did not start overly erotic, but the author did a great build up of the sexual tension. I always enjoy a murder mystery when the investigating detective falls for the primary suspect.

More of a mystery than anything else. Written in the Dashiel Hammett style. Two huge egos find an attraction. Vanilla sex.
I really enjoyed this book. I wanted to slap the sultry main character and snuggle up to the guy but I liked both of them. The story stays interesting (although there's quite a bit of introspecting) and you learn why the two main characters are the way they are. There was a few twists in it and kept me on my toes. I would recommend this and I'm glad I got to read it before I sent it in a swap.
This book is one of the better ones I've read lately and I consider well-worth the read. I thought the hero in this book was exceptional. It's part romance and psychological thriller (to me). It has a good pace after about the first thirty pages and is suspenseful in that past happenings are slowly revealed throughout the book and there are a couple twists and turns. FYI, the sex scenes are explicit, and the murder scenes fairly so.
