This is a wonderful and intimate account of the childhoods and marriage of Jack and Jackie Kennedy with 32 pages of personal family photographs. It is a fast and insightful read with many secrets that would not have been published if either of them were alive! I would recomend it to anyone interested in the Kennedy presidency.

"Steamy...a page-turner..." - New York Daily News
I obtained a copy of the book as an add on from the bookshelf of a kind PBS comrade who was fulfilling a wish for me, with the intention of offering it to a patient in the old soldiers' home who has such interests. This copy has never been read and neither did I.
I opened up the pages with 55 small photos and there was Mrs. Kennedy visiting India. As a high school student, a lady I knew at the time told me that she had asked a friend who had visited D.C. recently what the gossip was and he said it was claimed that the President had difficulty in getting his wife to return from India--she was having a good time.
Mr. Andersen seems to have done detailed work and is good at weaving events into their historical context. For example, Pablo Casals was inveigled by Jackie into playing at the White House--he had done so previously for TR.
There are a few 'source notes' for each chapter and a good index. For cheating on wives, see the person's name and go to 'womanizing of.
