DeLint was definitely one of the trend-setters that made urban fantasy so popular. When this was published there wasn't quite as much of it around; the idea of hidden Faerie amongst the human cityscape wasn't done to death. Lots of action, a nice thought with Jacky being just one of a long line of "Jacks", the heroes who can pull off a miracle with luck and boldness. I did think Jacky pulled an awfully sudden personality switch, but when you put on a faerie's hat I guess anything can happen.

I didn't read this for a while as I wasn't impressed by the blurb. When I did finally read it, boy was I surprised! It was a fun read! And with a surprise ending. Don't miss it.
