What a great book! Tons of foreshadowing...so you really know what is going on but it is written in such a way that you're just not quite sure. At the very end you say..Ahhh I knew that.

This is an excellent book. Interesting story and well written, as are all Ms. Stewart's books.

This suspense puts a spin on things that makes you want to read more. Romance and mystery. Find out why Mary Grey impersonated a dead heiress, who is trying to kill who here?

Like all Mary Stewart's suspensful novels, this combines romance, terror, atmosphere, scenery into a superb mixture of menace and enchantment.

This is actually a hard bound copy, missing it's wrapper. Printed approximately 1962, the pages are clean, but paper has ages to a darker patena.
