This second book for a young Nick wasn't bad. Easy read. It starts off right at the first one ended. Nick is trying to learn his powers while trying to quelch his raging hormones. A lot of reference to the DarkHunter series. If you haven't read the DH then you won't understand some of the references ie 'Don't ever touch Simi' and how one little action can change your lifes course. A good work up for book three. I look forward to it.

I am giving this 5 stars based on what I would give if I was a bit younger. I really enjoyed this book, it was a fast read once you get started and I wished for more when it was over. Nick has always been one of my favorites and I think it is great getting his story and other tid-bits of other characters as well.

For all of you Dark-Hunter enthusiasts, this continues the back story on Nick Gautier. It is a "life and times" story of Nick's high school misadventures with demons. Nick is basically a moral person who does the right thing or his mom will kick his ass. There are dark forces trying to turn him to the dark side and friendly faces who may or may not be friends who are trying to keep him on the straight and narrow for their benefit not his. It's definitely a test of Nick's strength dealing with all this mis-matched factions of good and bad demons and which is which.
It may be 420 pages but it's a super quick read and though I enjoyed this book, it's certainly nothing spectacular.

Anothor peek in the life and what Nick is, what he is to become. Any fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon"s series Dark Hunters, needs to follow Nick's story. As all of her Books this is a keeper!
Well written, picks up right where the first book left off.
