Many writers and historians have contributed to the modern view of the Middle Ages. Cantor discusses the lives and works of 20th century medievalists and their contributions to this view. His discussions of CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien are insightful. Entertaining and humorous: a very interesting point of view.
