Non-fiction that reads like a novel, with Allende's customary irony and insight.
This was an interesting book by one of my favorite authors. Different than any memoir I've read, it felt sort of stream-of-consciousness. Interesting and easy to read.
Great book to read before taking a trip to Chile. Learn about Chilean culture, history and politics through Allende's eloquent and humorous storytelling.
Not her best, but Allende is always terrific.
