I've read all the books in this series, so far, up to this book. I've thoroughly enjoyed them all, and will read any other books that are released. While I've enjoyed all of Jane Austen's writing, I am not an Austen purist, so I can't comment in that vein. However, the way the author presents this time period, and the characters, it feels very Austen-ish to me, and I like it.

I appreciate that Elizabeth gets to be smart and gets to be heard, unlike most portrayels of females during that time, whose heads are filled with lace and tea parties. It's fun to see the relaxed familiarity between Darcy and Elizabeth, the mutual respect and occassional flirting.

The clues, in this series, are "just right", not so obvious that you have it figured out from the get go, but not so far fetched that you're left being annoyed at the end, when the murderer is caught, because the clues really had nothing to do with the solving.

Quick, fun read.
