In the course of 800 years as a vampire, Nick Knight has tried many ways to restore his mortality. Now he has decided to try another, a dream doll that will show him his heart's desire.
But he didn't expect the dreams to be so vivid that he can hardly tell what is reality, the world where he is a vampire yearning to become mortal or the world where he is a mortal trying to survive in a world of vampires.
This book is excellent as an independent story and yet it retains the feel of the TV show. Any fan of the show will enjoy it.

I'm a fan of the show, but even if I wasn't I could enjoy this as a vampire novel. The two different realities and storylines kept me interested and it was fun to guess how the characters would change in the 'alternate' reality (making LaCroix a musician was a stroke of genius!) Had a duplicate copy, so I'm keeping one.
