Because it was published after Vatican II, it waters down the truths of the true, holy Catholic Faith and the translation is not based on the dogmatic Douay-Rheims.

This is a very good (New Testament only) Bible for Catholics or others wanting to learn more about the Catholic church. It has a 126 page Question and Answer Section at the beginning that answers questions such as, "Where did the Bible Come From?", "Why is Mass so special anyway?", "How can my sins be forgiven?", "Why do we have a Pope?", "Why are Protestant and Catholic Bibles different?", and What the Bible says about Sex. There are way too many awesome topics to list...
