The second to deal with the Wilder brothers (the first was "Instant Attraction"). These men are hunky, smart, sensitive, yet scarred. The heroines are brainy and beautiful but have issues as well. So far, pretty typical of a romance. However, Shalvis makes sure her characters and their relationship develop at a realistic pace. They grow together by being honest and caring. Throw in physical relationships that are hot but not rushed (the characters don't jump into bed at first sight) for the perfect blend.

I love a book when the situations could be real, the emotions are plausible, and the outcome believable. Shalvis does all this in both the books.

And the writing is excellentâno grammatical or spelling mistakes to distract. References to modern events and culture keep it even more true and relatable.

All in all I highly recommend these two books. I will search out anything written by her (loved "Get a Clue" by her, too).

Big city doctor, Emma is running her dad's small town clinic when she meets Stone Wilder. I love the interactions of the Wilder brothers with each other. It is a take no prisoners approach that cracks me up! Emma and Stone are a match made in Jill Shalvis heaven. Thank you Jill!

I felt like I wasted a day and half reading the 3 books in this series. All books were just barely ok. The last one was boring.

his is Stone's, the middle Wilder brother's story. He is the glue that holds them together. With TJ and Cam, he helps run Wilder Adventures. While he enjoys what he does, his true joy is in renovating historic properties; something he no longer has time for. Emma is in town to run her father's practice while he recovers from a MI. Growing up, she had minimal contact with him and is a bit resentful that she is in the small town of Wishful. She looks forward to returning to her life in NYC and her busy ER.
Both Stone and Emma compliment each other. Both are stubborn in their own ways and had moments where I wanted to slap them. I also wanted her dad to just say what he wanted and meant instead of giving vague non-answers. An honest conversation was too much to ask apparently. At the end of the day, I liked the secondary love story with Spence (Emma's friend) and Serena (Cam's ex) much better than the main one.
