I did not like this book. The first half of the book was very slow, so much so that I almost gave up on it a few times. I wish I had. There was one character that I just could not get into and ended up skimming anything with that person involved. There were several twists and turns which were fun towards the end but they could not make up for the rest of the book.
This is a tough one to review...it took at least half of the book to really get going, too much intro. The plot twists and turns so much that in retrospect it is completely unbelievable. During the read though you do get caught up and the last 100 or so pages are great. I love Brad Meltzer's writing and have read everything, this just isn't one of my favorites, it is just too much of a stretch and I think he worked too hard to get everything to work out and adding extra characters in order to do that.
not interested in political stories, thought I could stick with this but very slow and lost interest
This book was good, but not as exciting as I thought it would be. It was a good read, but no one that I couldn't put down at night.
I purchased this book during a closing sale, and I'm so glad that I picked it up. I loved all of the twists and turns of the plot; they kept me on the edge always wanting to know what was going to happen next. The book leaves you with many questions unanswered which I am hoping is a sign to a sequel.
Interesting story with many twists and turns. Kept my attention, but a little disappointed in the ending. I would suggest reading!
Great read! Brad Meltzer fans will not be disappointed.
Couldn't put this book down!
Good "inside Washington" read. I enjoyed it.
