Quick read but entertaining plot. Great "after a long day at work" type of book.

I love cozy's and this was one of my favorites. It was written in 2009, so a lot of the events are more current and relate-able.

April Buchert has started a new life back in her hometown after leaving her husband. She falls in with a group of women who love stamping and get together every week to make cards, etc.

Her boyfriend, Mitch, starts a Habitat for Humanity type organization, and starts building one of the four homes he's donating to low income families. Of course this causes animosity between those who want low income and those who don't.

When a murder occurs, April and her friends must find the real killer so that the man they arrested goes free.

There are a lot of twist and turns in this, and more than a few suspects. I pretty much figured out who the killer was before the end of the book, but I wasn't sure, so it didn't diminish my enjoyment.

The only negative I have is that the author seems to use this book as a forum for her political views on immigration. That said, I still enjoyed the book immensely.
