This is a great story by Tamera Alexander about a sister trying to be a big sister, a mom and find her way in life. I would highly recommend this book to friends. This won't be my last book by her.

First let me say I love Tamera Alexander's work! The Inheritance is her first novel, but her 4th published. She says in the rider that her agency rejected this book initially and she went on to write her famed Fountain Creek series. Now she's come back and re-done her original work and this is the result.

The Inheritance is a good book but its too long. At nearly 400 pages and with sections that seem to drag on and on, I can see why it wasn't picked up as her first novel. But that being said, it is a good book. The storyline is compelling, if not overlong; and the characters make you want to join their community and become friends.
