All the major science fiction book sites gave it super reviews. I had, I admit, a lot of expectations. I was very disappointed with this book. The author has actually created a very interesting future environment, but he never really allows the reader to really understand and experience it. I don't mind main characters being morally ambiguous, but I want to a be able to understand their thinking process and motives. Too many times during this novel I would shake my head wondering why the character was reacting the way they were. Just a very unsatisfying book. I will not be reading the next two books in the series.
