While I enjoyed Nick and learning about his world, I often felt very confused. Although this may be the first book in his series, I wonder if it's a better idea to read The Dark Hunters first so you don't spend quite as much time being mystified.

I really enjoyed reading this book! It was great to see where Nick got his early start and how he met Kyrian and Ash. It shows a lot more dept and insight into Nick and his introduction into the paranormal world of New Orleans. Although I thought the timeline was a bit off, I wonder if they are going to address that. Anyway, I couldn't put this book down. It was full of action and a great plot that could lead up to a lot of future adventures in the Dark-Hunter novels. It almost felt like a DH novel without the romance. I totally forgot that this was Teen-fiction. I highly recommend this one.

I have been a fan of the Dark-Hunters ever since I met Kyrian Hunter so many years ago. Ive always liked Nick and even though I only knew him as Kyrians Squire, there was potential there for him to be so much more and I wasnt disappointed. With this series, we now get to meet Nick when he was just a kid before he got involved with the Dark-Hunters, before he even knew vampires, demons and shape shifters existed. Sherrilyn Kenyon has created a fantastic reality with the Dark-Hunters that draws the reader into this world wide eyed with astonishment but also keeps the reader entertained with the range of different types of characters and their personalities. Nick is sarcastic and smart-mouthed, but has a softer vulnerable side. Even though he gets dragged into some messy situations, he has good intentions. Even knowing what happens to him, (you have to read the Dark-Hunter series to understand some of this book) I cant help but think that this series is going to play a pivotal role in Nicks fate.

Fans of the Dark-Hunter series will be pleased to see the appearance of some of their favorite characters such as Kyrian, Acheron, Simi and Tabitha Devereaux. This series has introduced some new characters too, my favorite is Bubba. He kills zombies and owns a gun store and plays a major role in this story helping Nick figure out why his fellow classmates are turning into zombies. Hes hilarious and provides some fantastic redneck comic relief.

I highly recommend this series for all the Dark-Hunter fans who want to know more about Nicks background. If you havent read the Dark-Hunter books yet, I recommend you start with them first as this series may be a little confusing otherwise.

My daughter loves it when she can read one of my PBS books. This book certainly fit the criteria. For me it seemed tame, but it was also based on what a 14 year old boy would be going through, so it worked. Being able to revisit characters from the very first Dark Hunter books, but from Nick's perspective, was a lot of fun for me. My daughter has already requested more of the series, so I belive it is a hit with her too. She loved Simi and her BBQ sauce.

I highly suggest reading the Dark Hunter books before trying to jump into this book. I can see where it would be really confusing if you haven't read any on Kenyon's books in that series.

That being said, I loved getting to know more about Nick! I always have liked him as a minor character and am glad to see him getting his own story. A great offshoot from a great series.

Initially a little hard for me to get into but may have been just me. I thought it was a little pedantic. About midway though I was hooked and enjoyed seeing the progression of Nick. Looking forward to reading the next one now to see how it all fits together with the Dark Hunter series. Definitely provided a little shift in the perspective of the Dark Hunters

Excellent story, a must read for those who have read through the dark-hunter series. If you haven't read that series yet you will find this book hard to understand. I have read all books up until No Mercy in that series. Once again it is an excellent read for those into Sherrilyn Kenyon.

I've always wondered what Nick's story was so I was excited to read this book. However, it starts out like a little kids book with Nick getting beat up daily at school and his mother repeatedly yelling at him. When he finally meets Kyrian and Ash, it starts getting interesting. A lot of things about Nick and his situation are beginning to make sense and just like Ms. Kenyon is prone to do, a lot of new stuff is confusing as hell. I guess book 2 [book:Invincible|6767316]will explain a little more and probably add a few more confusing bits. I can't wait.

I really thought I would like this book; they synopsis sounded hilarious. But I didn't care for the writing style and I found the main character annoying. I feel like the narrative jumps around a lot. Starts off with Nick being an almost typical teenager trying to get through the pressures of high school. And then, out of nowhere, 100 pages in the book turns into a zombie apocalypse novel. Just didn't do it for me.

I think the writing was a little young. I know the author writes amazing adult romances but I think she went a little too young for this book. I mean, when this book came out I was a senior in high school and the language she used was not even relevant in normal teenager-speak!
The zombies, I didn't quite get. Since DHs revolve mostly around Daimons, I thought the zombies was more like a WTF thing going on.

This book was a very quick read for me. I started it at 7 am and I just finished it at 610pm. The font was a little big and that got annoying just because I knew it was paired with the writing and I wasn't a fan..

I enjoyed the book and the characters and I definitely think this is a great addition to anyone who loves the DH series. It was a very interesting book.

Great book. But you shouldn't read it if you haven't read some of the others first.

I love the Dark-Hunter series and this new series with Nick is something that I have been waiting for and Sherrilyn didn't disappoint. Early on Nick quickly became near and dear to my heart I love being able to now experience what transpired to make him such an important character. This was a very easy and quick read and left me wanting more, next year can't come fast enough for Invincible.

Sometimes, Nick wishes life was easier. He hates his mother's job that lets them barely survive, and he hates the boys at school for mocking him and his mom. He can't stop himself from fighting. When he's suspended, he's in hot water with his overprotective mother. She makes him promise to go straight home, but he runs into his crowd. They give him an offer to make money that he just can't refuse.

Nick can't go through with the plan and ends up saving the elderly couple in question. In retaliation, the boys beat him senseless. A man emerges from the shadows to save him and accompanies him to the hospital. As Nick can't pay the bills, the man makes him a better deal than the guys had - he'll pay the bills and Nick will work for him.

On the first day of employment, strange creatures attack the house. Nick isn't sure what's happened, but he now knows that there are other beings in the world. The man turns out to be a Dark Hunter - someone who's been alive for hundreds of years who protects humans from the others.

Now that the veil has been lifted, Nick sees the world differently. Just as he's coming to terms with his newfound knowledge, zombies take over his school. The zombies keep coming after him. How much longer can Nick keep them from attacking him while saving the ones he loves and keeping his mother out of the loop?

INFINITY is the start of a new series from Ms. Kenyon's Dark-Hunter world, aimed towards young adults. Nick can't seem to catch a break, which made me root for him all the more. He's always in trouble, in danger, meeting new people, or using his greatest survivor skill - sarcasm.

A good "beach read", but not much more than that. I've read other books by this author, and this one doesn't quite live up to her previous standard. There are so many characters and the point of view switches so quickly that it almost seems like an exercise in stream-of-consiousness-writing.
