I absolutely loved this book and the characters in it. Brenda Joyce adds alot more details to her stories that make them richer and more intriguing. You will not be able to put this book down.

This book is another in the deWarenne Dynasty series but you do not need to read the others to enjoy this romance. We do get to met some of the earlier characters with enough background to understand who they are. I enjoy Brenda Joyce's regency stories and this was typical for her although I must admit some of the conflict reminded me of formula Harlequin. There is a subplot involving the Dowager Duchess that was particularly satisfying. The Duke of Clarewood starts out cold and autocratic until he meets Alexandra, who gave up her true love 9 yrs. earlier to raise her younger sisters after her mother died. I would recommend this book and advise you to keep a tissue on hand.

Just discovered Brenda Joyce. Loved the story. Writing reminds me of Mary Balogh. Can't wait to read more of Ms. Joyce's books.
