Awful...this book claims that the sole cause of WWII was a racist attitude that the US Govt had for years. Ponderously written, full of inaccuracies, (see Amazon reviews). I quit on this book after 50 pages....after reading for the nth time that every American was Aryan.

Really! One single voyage led to Communism in China? Maybe if you believe in the butterfly effect. I suspect that conditions other than American attitudes had more to do with most events in the world.

A very eye opening view of the history of the US and how we thought about Asians and what we did. A look in to the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt and the future president William Taft. There in Asia, the groundwork was laid for the happenings in WW2.

An in depth view of the sordid history that led to our inciting Japan to a course that led to WWII. Makes one want to remove all positive vestiges of Teddy Roosevelt. Well researched blistering attack on him and Taft.
