Fantastic read, as usual.

My first bit of advice: Read the glossary! I love Larissa Ione's books AND that she puts the glossary right up front to remind you of the world that she's built for these characters. It always gets me in the right frame of mind to jump back in.

And good thing, too!! This book starts out with a bang....well, not quite, but you'll see what I mean. :)

Love the action, love the characters, and the story is what you would expect from this author if you are a long-time fan.

I gave this book 5 stars.
Happy Reading!

Boring and a disappointment after Eternal Rider was so good and a great start to the series. Nothing really seems to happen through most of the book, the situations seem really contrived. The most interesting part of the book wasn't even about the hero and heroine but about Thanatos and Regan. It's also starting to be troubling that in every book about heaven, hell, angels, and demons everyone is white, speaks English and basically adheres to American ideas and values. Of course the books are for a mostly white, American, female audience, but couldn't the author at least pretend that God finds other people and other colors worthwhile? That maybe angels would look like a blend of all races?

And a minor gripe - the main couple never have sex in the entire book. Other people do, but not Limos and Arik.

The story of Arik and Limos is eventful to say the least. This book set up the storyline for the next two books. I am looking forward to the next book.

Larissa Ione's "Demonica" series is FANTASTIC...and her "Lords of Deliverance" series is good too. Just not AS good.

I do enjoy the fact that she uses demon characters from Underworld General in her Four Horseman series...it's nice to get that continuity.

However, the Lords of Deliverance books are WAAAAAAY too long. The stories really didn't need 435 pages to make them complete. They could've been boiled down to 250 pages easy.

So while I've enjoyed them, I found them to drag a bit...which didn't seem to happen in her first Demon series.

Always a good read--just not if you're feeling impatient. :)

This was the second in the series. There were really three story lines going on at the same time. This can drive me a little nutty sometimes. I really liked Limos and Arik. There wasn't a lot of pretense about their attraction. I thought they made an excellent couple. Looking forward to book 3 - Than's story quite a bit.

I loved this one even more than the firt one!

Ive been waiting for a story about Arik since we met him in the Demonica series. It was SO worth the wait. Arik and Limos are perfect together.

I love all of Larissa Ione's books. There is always brilliant world building, and amazing character developement.

And man oh man she has a way of setting up things for the next in the series. I can not wait to read Than's story!!

Born of a match between good and evil, four siblings stand between hell's minions and everything they want to destroy. They are the Lords of Deliverance, and they have the power to ward off Doomsday....or let it ride....

Sexy, powerful, and immortal, Limos is on a crash course with destiny. She's been marked as Satan's bride and her jealous fiance' wants her all to himself. The only way this Horseman can keep herself--and everyone else--safe is to keep her distance.

Arik Wagner knows the saying "love hurts" better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he's topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth?

Wow, what a ride. This book is over 400 pages, and usually that would keep most people away, because most authors can not keep your attention for that many pages. But most authors are not Larissa Ione. She has a lot to say. And it takes time and pages to weave the storyline she spins. There are layers and layers going on in this one. At first, I really didn't like Arik. He had a lot of attitude, wasn't a likable character, but I guess spending time in Hell can mellow a person quickly. He turned out to be a great "hero" with a lot of 'hotness' going on. Limos has spent her 5000 years lying to everyone around her, but when Arik survives Hell for her sake, she starts to soften. She skirted the edges of becoming the wheepy woman I rarely like. But Ione keeps Limos in-between the scary Horseman and the woman Limos wants to be. It worked. This book is an important part of the series, and if you haven't read the Demonica series, I suggest you start there so you know who ALL the characters are because we see most of them frequently in this one. And we are given a good head start into the next one with the events surrounding Than's drama. I love this series.
