One of my favorite books of all time- each story is so intricate and fascinating and shocking, it's a hard book to put down. This book forces you to reflect upon the nature of human-kind and also the luminous threat of what techonology is capable of changing in our society!

Short stories from one of America's masters of fantasy and science fiction. Originally published in 1951, this copy in 1978. Short stories, all linked by common bonds.

If you're familiar with Bradbury, I doubt you need to read reviews of this book, which is one of his most popular and was also made into a movie featuring several of the stories. If you're somehow ignorant of Ray Bradbury's short stories, this is a great place to start. This is one of my favorite collections of Bradbury short stories. Nearly all of the stories are science fiction or have elements of science fiction, but several of them might also be more accurately defined as horror, and a few would qualify as fantasy. Regardless of how you classify his style, there's no debate that he was truly a wonderful story teller.

"The tattooed man moves, and in the arcane designs scrawled upon his skin swirl tales beyond imagining: tales of love and laughter, darkness and death, of mankind's glowing, golden past and its dim, haunted future. Here are eighteen incomparable storied that blend magic and truth in a kaleidoscopic tapestry of wonder- woven by the matchless imagination of Ray Bradbury"

I promise you that you've never read a book like this. It's eclectic and kind of weird, but in a good way. It's pretty thin, only 186 pages. A good read ^_^

This was a really good collection. Almost every story in the book was about space and rockets, although there was a bit of variation. All the stories were well written, Bradbury seems to focus on the characters first and foremost, which makes it easy to connect with the stories.

It should also be noted that this is not a light book. A lot of the stories are very, very dark, and some are disturbing. There is a sprinkling of upbeat stories mixed in which keeps it from being too much, but it's pretty intense. It's small and short, but definitely not a light read!
