This is billed as a free adaptation of Corneille's drama in which a father seeks to find out what became of his estranged son. Naturally, he seeks the assistance of a magician who provides him with three visions, none of which he interprets correctly. A tad difficult for a non-pedant as myself as the characters assume different names in each vision. But, struggle through ye laity of the poetic persuasion; the ending is a gem.
