This is a funny, sweet book of kids poetry. It is a great collection for young children and funny for adults. The back of the book reads:

Would you box with a fox named Knox? What is a pig in pink pyjamas doing in the Bahamas? Where is the secret place?...Travel to the ice cream store and beyond, in this exuberent, tender, wildly inventive collection. A poetic romp brought to life by David McPhail's enchanting illustrations, The Ice Cream Store won the Mr.Christie's Award as best Canadian children's book.
