This book is the story of General H. Norman Schwarzkopf - General Schwarzkopf speake openly about the events and emotions of his two tours of duty in Vietnam, of his deep respect and abiding affection for his South Vietnamese comrads. This book was a glimpse into the man that lead the first Gulf War to victory. I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed reading this autobiography. General Schwarzkopf writes in a way that makes it easy for a non-military person to understand what happened during the first Gulf War. You really begin to understand just how intelligent the General is. He also has a very human side when it comes to his friends and family. This is a good book.
