i love this book laugh myself silly
It is a fun premise and I had high hopes, but the characters' voices were so discombobulating and I was halfway through the book before I realized they weren't in their fifties. I sincerely thought they were all much older than they were supposed to be and it made me so irritable throughout the rest that it seriously colored my appreciation of an otherwise well-crafted story. Every one of the main characters sound as if they are playing dress up in their parents' clothes and voices. If the author wanted to write a story about fifty year-olds, she should have done so. It would have been fantastically amusing and even more interesting to see this kind of circumstance played out among the baby-boomer set. I'm a Gen-Xer and I have no prejudice against reading about couples in their mid to later years, but you can't slap a mid-twenties tag on a fifty year-old character and have it read as anything other than... well, wrong. I so much liked the premise and the crafting of the story itself, though, that I will try another from this author before I give up on her entirely.

Romantic Comedy about a woman that went to bed a brunette and woke up as a blonde due to an experimental drug she was taking. Very funny book.
Happy Reading!

A different type of romance. It starts off silly and then addresses several very serious issues in a forthright manner. Patricia who is an ordinary saleclerk tries a experimental weight loss drug and wakes up blonde. Her life changes, with 2 men wanting her, one as ordinary and nice as she and the other a spoiled rich, but handsome guy.
This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. It is a quick and easy read.
very fun chick lit book! :)
Interesting premise and characters. Two female lead characters focus on some significant issues for American women; weight, men with blonde obsessions, shopping, elitism, etc. Loved the setting in a Seattle Nordstrom knock off store. Particularly delighted with the intelligence, education, non-traditional roles and mix of East and West coast values.
Patricia goes on weight loss program (illegal not approved program by FDA) results are she wakes next morning blonde, then the fun begins all of sudden there not one but two men, one is rich and messy, the other is one of her housemates, owner of the house Paul. The author MacPherson writes humor and romance hand in gloves, she keeps you turning the pages and laughing.
Enteraining read. I always wondered what would happen if I suddenly turned blonde.
Frothy and fun romance about what happens to a plain-Jane when she literally wakes up blonde one morning.
