I really enjoyed this book. I happened across it at an old used bookstore in my hometown in Southern Oregon. I picked it up because the title sounded familiar. I later realized that it was familiar as the name of a Greek god as well as a poem by John Keats.

The book is an intricate tale told through the personal narratives of seven individuals chosen by the Shrike Cult to be the last pilgrimage to the holy Time Tombs. Each pilgrim's story is beautifully written, intriguing and fascinating. They are also chilling and mildly gruesome

The book is filled with beautiful imagery and unique sci-fi/fantasy material as well as classic staples of the genre.

Very good story, but would have been more satisfying with a proper ending instead of a sequel.
