So boring I just quit instead of wasting my time reading through pages and pages of NOTHING along with descriptions that don't mean a thing.
I really enjoyed this novel. The biggest reason was my love for the character Tess. The first day I started reading the book I closed the book and unconsciously said out loud "oh I've missed you Tess", Of all the mystery thriller books I read she by far my favorite character. And if you think the smart independent Tess is changed by motherhood you would be wrong. She is still fun, witty and confident yet also insecure.
I found the story line interesting and the stress that all moms feel was thought provoking. And Ms. Lippman intertwined the theme throughout.
Laura Lippman is a great author and I have enjoyed most of her books. I hope she continues the series because Tess does have a lot more to experience and mysteries to solve.
And I want to add that Carla Scout is so funny, smart and adorable. Thank you Ms. Lippman.
